— What we collect & why —
Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 30, 2026
Plain-English summary
Respawn In Vegas is built with privacy in mind. We collect the minimum we need to run the site. We don't sell your data. We don't have ads. We don't track you across the web. We do count anonymous page visits so we know what's working.
1. What we collect
If you create an account: your email address and a password (stored as a one-way hash through our auth provider — we never see your plain password). If you save events, those saves are tied to your account.
If you subscribe (when launched): your subscription plan, status, and renewal date. Payment information is handled directly by our payment processor; we don't store card numbers.
Anonymous analytics: a random ID is stored in your browser's local storage so we can count unique visitors and pageviews without identifying you. We also note the page you visited, where you came from (referrer), and your browser type. We filter out bots and our own development traffic.
2. What we don't collect
- We don't use third-party advertising trackers or pixels.
- We don't collect your precise location.
- We don't store your phone number unless you give it to us.
- We don't collect data from anyone under 18 — accounts are 18+ only.
3. How we use it
- Run your account and remember your saved events.
- Process subscriptions and deliver subscriber-only content (when launched).
- Understand which pages people use so we can improve the site.
- Send you account-related email (e.g., password resets, subscription receipts) — never marketing without your consent.
4. Who we share it with
We use a small set of vendors to run the site, and they only get the minimum they need to do their job:
- Supabase — database and authentication (stores your account).
- Vercel — hosts the website.
- Payment processor (TBD) — handles subscription billing once paid features launch.
We don't sell your data to anyone. We'll only disclose your information if required by law (e.g., a valid subpoena).
5. Your rights
You can request a copy of the data we have about you, ask us to delete your account and associated data, or correct inaccurate data by emailing respawninvegas@gmail.com. If you're in California, the EU, or another jurisdiction with specific privacy laws, those rights apply to you regardless.
6. Cookies and local storage
We don't use traditional advertising cookies. We do use local storage in your browser to keep you signed in and to store the random visitor ID for analytics. You can clear these any time through your browser settings.
7. Data retention
Account data is kept while your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove your personal data within 30 days. Anonymous analytics data is kept indefinitely so we can see year-over-year trends, but it can't be linked back to you.
8. Children's privacy
Respawn In Vegas accounts are for adults 18 and over. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has created an account, contact us and we'll delete it.
9. Security
Passwords are hashed by our auth provider — we never see them. Connections to the site are encrypted (HTTPS). No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your data.
10. Changes
If we make material changes to this policy, we'll flag them on the site and email account holders. The “Last updated” date at the top will reflect the most recent revision.
